Isle of Wight Furniture Delivery FAQs
Can you deliver just one piece of furniture to or from the Isle of Wight?
Yes. We offer part-load delivery, so a single piece or a small set can share van space on a regular Isle of Wight run. We collect and deliver in both directions, depending on the route and available space.
Can you collect furniture I bought from a private seller, eBay or Facebook Marketplace?
Yes. We can collect furniture directly from private sellers, shops and auction houses. If you’ve found something online, send us the listing and the collection and delivery postcodes so we can check the route.
Can you collect from several sellers on the same Isle of Wight run?
Yes. We regularly make several collections on the same run. If you’ve bought a table from one seller and chairs from another, send us both collection postcodes and the sellers’ availability. We’ll check whether the stops and items can fit on the same run.
Where on the mainland can you collect furniture?
We’re based in North Derbyshire and can arrange collections in England, Wales and Scotland, depending on the route and availability. Send us the collection postcode and we’ll check whether it fits a suitable run.
Which Isle of Wight towns do you deliver to?
We cover the whole island, including Newport, Ryde, Shanklin, Ventnor, Bembridge, Seaview, East Cowes, Freshwater and Yarmouth. Send us your postcode so we can check the stop against our route.
Can you collect furniture on the Isle of Wight and deliver it to the mainland?
Yes. We collect on the Isle of Wight for mainland delivery when the job fits a return run. Tell us what you’re sending and where it needs to go so we can check the route and available space.
Can you collect an Isle of Wight auction purchase and take it to the mainland?
Yes, if the auction house’s collection window fits one of our runs. Send us the auction house name, the lot number or listing link, the item’s approximate dimensions, the collection deadline and the delivery postcode. If you’re still deciding whether to bid, ask us first so we can check the timing.
Can you arrange onward delivery from the Isle of Wight to Scotland?
Yes, by arrangement. If we can’t cover the whole journey ourselves, we can sometimes arrange for another carrier to collect from our North Derbyshire unit. On one job, we collected three valuable items of memorabilia on the Isle of Wight and stored them at our unit, where we have security in place. A Scottish carrier then collected them from us for delivery to Dundee.
Can I drop off furniture in North Derbyshire for delivery to the Isle of Wight?
Yes. You or your courier can bring it to our workshop by arrangement. If there’s a gap before the island run, we may be able to hold it for a short time. Ask us about space when arranging the drop-off.
How much does furniture delivery to the Isle of Wight cost?
We quote each job individually. The price depends on the route, the size and weight of the item, how much van space it needs and access at both ends. For a quote, send photos, approximate dimensions and both postcodes. Let us know about stairs or difficult parking.
Is the ferry included in my delivery quote?
Yes. The ferry crossing is included unless your quote says otherwise.
When can you collect and deliver my furniture?
We make regular Isle of Wight runs throughout the year. Tell us about any collection or delivery deadline when you enquire. We’ll confirm a suitable date before you book.
Can you carry antique, vintage or fragile furniture?
Yes. We transport modern, vintage and antique furniture. If something is fragile or unusually heavy, send photos and dimensions so we can assess it and agree how to handle it before you book.
Will you need help lifting the furniture?
Larger or heavier items may need a hand at collection or delivery. Tell us about the item, any stairs or tight spaces and where we can park. We’ll agree what help is needed before you book.
