The Story of This Piece
This Ercol Model 398 coffee table has a solid elm top with rounded corners, tapered beech legs and a spindle magazine rack. The rack sits close beneath the tabletop, leaving an open space below.
The elm top displays flowing grain across its surface, while the splayed legs give the table its distinctive stance.
We collected the table from Standerwick near Frome, Somerset, and refurbished it in our North Derbyshire workshop. It was sold through Pamono and delivered by Retro Cactus Furniture to its new home in Vauxhall, London.
