The Story of This Piece

This Ercol Model 369A Goldsmith’s Windsor Dining Armchair dates from the 1950s and formed part of a matching dining set with Model 369 Goldsmith’s Windsor Dining Chairs.

Ercol identifies the 369A in its 1956 catalogue as the Goldsmith’s Windsor Dining Armchair. The design combines a tall spindle back and shaped top rail with curved arms, a sculpted solid elm seat and a beech frame.

The armchair was refinished in our North Derbyshire workshop together with the matching chairs. The complete set was later sold through Vinterior and delivered to Hackney, London.

These photographs show the actual Model 369A armchair handled and refinished by Retro Cactus Furniture.
