The chairs have Ercol's traditional Windsor construction, with shaped elm seats and slender beech legs. The natural grain of the elm contrasts with the lighter beech frames.

This set was collected from Dumfries, Dumfries and Galloway, and professionally refinished at the Retro Cactus Furniture workshop in North Derbyshire.

The chairs were sold directly by Retro Cactus Furniture, with the customer collecting the completed set from the workshop.

The Story of This Piece

This set of four Ercol Model 365 Quaker Windsor Dining Chairs features tall, curved spindle backs, solid English elm seats and solid beech frames. The Model 365 is a classic Ercol design dating back to the 1950s.

The chairs have shaped elm seats, tapered beech legs and the distinctive high backs associated with the Quaker design. The contrast between the elm seats and lighter beech frames is particularly noticeable in this set.

The four chairs were collected from Dumfries, Dumfries and Galloway, and brought to the Retro Cactus Furniture workshop in North Derbyshire, where they were professionally refinished.

The completed set was sold directly by Retro Cactus Furniture, with the customer collecting the chairs from the workshop.
