The Story of This Piece

This original Ercol Model 354 Pebble Nest of Three Tables features three graduated, organically shaped solid elm tops supported by slender solid beech legs. The distinctive curved tabletops allow the smaller tables to fit neatly beneath the larger one.

The Model 354 is documented in Ercol's original 1956 catalogue. Its characteristic pebble-shaped design reflects the company's mid-century approach to combining practical furniture with natural materials and elegant craftsmanship.

This particular set was collected from Kidderminster, Worcestershire, and taken to the Retro Cactus Furniture workshop in North Derbyshire, where it was refurbished while retaining the natural character of the wood.

The tables were subsequently sold by Retro Cactus Furniture and delivered to their new owner in Windsor, Berkshire.

The original photographs document the three nesting sizes, shaped tabletops, solid beech legs and distinctive elm grain.
