Alfred Cox Chest of Drawers, 1950s — Central London
A 1950s Alfred Cox chest of drawers with teak veneer, three small upper drawers, four full-width drawers and raised legs. The original AC maker’s stamp is visible inside a drawer. We collected it in Gainsborough, sold it through Retro Cactus Furniture and personally delivered it to its new home in Central London.
The Story of This Piece
This 1950s chest of drawers by Alfred Cox for AC Furniture was collected from Gainsborough before being brought back to our Derbyshire workshop for refinishing.
The chest features five drawers and is constructed using teak veneer and wood. The refinishing brought out the warmth and grain of the timber while retaining the original mid-century character of the piece.
