1960s Ercol Tall Sideboard
A 1960s Ercol tall sideboard in English elm and beech, collected on Tyneside, refinished in our Derbyshire workshop and delivered to Bellême, Normandy.
The Story of This Piece
We collected this 1960s Ercol tall sideboard on Tyneside and brought it to our Derbyshire workshop for refinishing.
The cabinet has richly figured English elm, with a sculptural beech underframe. Its three cupboard doors and lower drawers provide practical storage; the fitted cutlery trays are a particularly useful detail. We carefully refinished the piece while preserving the character of its original design.
Once complete, we delivered the sideboard to its new home in Bellême, Normandy, France. It is recorded here as part of the Retro Cactus Furniture archive of Ercol pieces we have handled, refinished and delivered.
