1960s Ercol Model 355 Day Bed / Studio Couch – Delivered to Lancieux
A 1960s Ercol Model 355 day bed and Studio Couch in English elm and beech, carefully refinished and professionally reupholstered with new Pirelli webbing and reversible cushions before being delivered to Lancieux, Brittany.
The Story of This Piece
Collected in South Wales, this 1960s Ercol Model 355 Studio Couch retained its distinctive curved arms, spindle sides and removable backrest. Made from English elm and beech, the design can be used as both a sofa and an occasional day bed.
We carefully refinished the timber in our Derbyshire workshop to reveal its natural colour and grain. The couch was professionally reupholstered with new Pirelli webbing and specially shaped reversible cushions in a blue patterned fabric.
Once completed, it was sold directly by Retro Cactus and delivered to its new home in Lancieux, Brittany, France.
