The tabletop was carefully refinished to bring out the rich swirling grain of the English elm while protecting the surface for continued use. The black legs provide a strong contrast to the warm elm top and give the table a more contemporary appearance.
 
Both leaves fold down neatly, allowing the table to take up less space when it is not required at full size.
